Well, we here in the wonderful state of Kentucky got what we wanted, sort of. We ask for a national title, check. We ask for a player that could someday be mentioned in the same breath as Jordan, Magic, Bird, etc., check. Now that player is on the SECOND (Kobe, I’m looking at you) greatest team ever assembled. The only problem is, he doesn’t really see the floor. Yeah, I know he scored 9 points against the Dominicans, I get that. But if he doesn’t even get on the court against what most consider the 4th or 5th best team in the Olympics, what is there to expect against Spain and Aregentina? He might as well stay in Chicago and work on his jumper.
None the less, he is 19 years old playing for Team USA in the London Olympics, we’re all proud. But, it wouldn’t surprise me if Coach K has something to do with this. Wait, he is the coach. See you in Atlanta Duke.
