The Kentucky Wildcats and John Calipari have a couple of options left for the 2012-2013 roster. Torian Graham has reclassified and wants to come to Kentucky. He is just waiting on the call from John Calipari. Keith Clanton of UCF is a new name that has popped up recently. UCF is under probation so the senior can transfer and play this year. Kentucky is on his radar. Lastly, Cal could skip both guys and set the roster as is.
Torian Graham is a four star shooting guard who is ranked # 67 overall according to Rivals. Recently, he committed then de-committed from N.C. State in hopes to land a spot on Calipari’s roster. The danger of adding Graham to the bench is the fact that Torian is most likely not a one and done player. Therefor , Graham could prevent one of the stud recruits in 2013 from coming to Kentucky. 2013 is already shaping up to be in the talks for best class of all time so you don’t want to add a player who could hinder that.
Keith Clanton is a 6′ 9″ senior forward who brings size and muscle with him. Being a senior, he would be a strong vocal leader for the incoming freshmen. Best of all, he wouldn’t take up a spot for any of the big name recruits in the 2013 class. Any time you have a chance to bring instant experience to a young group of players, then you should do it.
Coach Cal does have a third option. He can pass up on both guys. The current roster is already well equipped. They are not as talented as last years group, but there most likely aren’t any teams any where as talented as them either. Which ever Cal decides to do I’ll trust him. He hasn’t steered us wrong yet, has he?
