Ok, I get it.  Things are pretty bad right now as far as Kentucky football goes.  The fans are fed up with the less than stellar show being put on at Commonwealth stadium.  Basically, I have heard from two types of fans that have been created because of the current dismal situation.  One side of the fan base is calling for Joker’s head.  They want rid of Joker to get some new blood on the field in hopes to rejuvenate life into the program.   The other side says to just keep Joker because Kentucky football is ….well Kentucky football.  They argue that football can and will never be competitive in the SEC, no matter who the coach.

Wildcat Blue Nation recently posted an article to the latter effect. The writer asks “Why bother firing Joker?”, and “What’s the point?”.  I get a vibe from him that he believes UK doesn’t care about football , so really why should we?

I don’t fall under that category.   I think UK football can and will be competitive in the near future.  I wish Joker would work out as the man who leads us there, however you see the record and it’s just not working out.  We have to do two things.  First, UK must improve their facilities.  Commonwealth Stadium must be upgraded along with the players practice facilitates. Second, UK has to hire a coach who will bring a brand of football on the field that will excite the fan base.  You have to get buts in the seat first before improvements can come.
