One of the biggest surprises to me that came from SEC Media day is from South Carolina head coach Frank Martin. Martin is one of newest coaches to the SEC and quickly came to Calipari’s defense during his interview time.

“I think Cal is one of the great misunderstood people in the profession,” he said of Kentucky head coach John Calipari. “He doesn’t get enough credit for coaching.” Frank also added, “(Calipari) has got a 24-hour recruiting cycle going on ESPNU. It’s awesome. More power to him.”
