John Wall says Full Court Alley – Oop Video is Real

The above video is of John Wall doing a full court alley oop to himself. I for one quickly decided that it is a fake, but it still is a really cool video.  However, John Wall says that the video is 100 percent real.

“Yeah I can do that [laughing]“  said John Wall of the viral video.  He continued with instructions on how to do the self-alley-oop, “You just got throw it real high, just got to throw it real high and then just run underneath it and try to time as best you can.”

“You’re telling me that video of you throwing the ball full court and dunking the alley-oop was actually real?”  the Dan Patrick questions in disbelief.

John answered again in detail, “Yeah, all you got to do is throw it real high – you see how high I threw it… I can get down the court in probably 3 or 4 seconds, just running, so when you throw the ball real high, you just basically got to time it.”

“It’s nothing you going to be able to do in one try though,” he adds.

Hoops blog Dime Magazine recently published a video NBA star John Wall tossing a full court, self- alley-oop that got the basketball world talking.  With one arm he launched an NFL-style hail mary pass down the court, which the camera man had a hard time catching clearly.  However, once the ball was down court, the video skipped and showed John catching the pass and throwing it down 2 handed through the rim, a self-alley-oop.

Many speculated the video was fake and probably just another promotional commercial for someone.  In particular, just Dime Magazine having some fun creatively, promoting their YouTube channel.

John Wall cleared up the rumors in an interview for this weekend with The Dan Patrick Show, radio broadcast.  The #1 draft pick from Kentucky says it’s hard for someone to do but he is fast.   In fact, he says he runs
